Got back from school. Today my school celebrated Earth Day. We started 'celebrating' by cleaning up the mangroves. I can't believe the people who go there litter a lot. For example, one of my schoolmates picked up a diaper and another picked up a pair of trousers. There were bottles and glasses lying everywhere. Another thing that we found there which was suprising was a bed sheet. It was huge. I think that these people who litter must enter a course called the consequences of littering. In fact someone could start a course like that.
After this, we went back to school. There were other activities like being taught about waste, the ecosystem and Earth Day cup decorating. Then after lunch we watched a movie called the Day after Tomorrow. This movie is about what could happen if we don't take care of our environment. It is half fictional half true. Very scary and sad but I am glad it has happy ending. So after the movie it was time to go home.
It has been a long and enjoyable day.
